Toru is a musician and producer based in Mexico City. He writes, mixes and masters all of his music, sometimes collaborating with vocalists, instrumentalists, and other producers.

Inspired by groove-oriented music of the 1960s and 70s, his music draws on a range of influences across rock, blues, and jazz, culminating in a laid back sound that he refers to as ‘the space between the dance floor and the bedroom’ – smooth and psychedelic, blending warm and cool colors.

Baltimore-born, Toru learned guitar as a teenager before moving to San Francisco where he would make his foray into producing and teach himself piano, drums, and bass guitar. 

Today he blends organic and synthetic elements from different eras to make music that echoes its influences while carving a new contemporary sound experience.
